Curiosity Got The Queen

9-18-12

In 2 Chronicles chapter 9 the Queen of Sheba had heard about the fame of King Solomon. She stated that she did not believe what she had heard (v6). Because she was so curious she came to King Solomon in Israel to find out for herself. She started by asking him questions to see if he was as wise as what she heard. Then she seen all that he had built for the Lord his God. She seen all his servants and the great joy that they had while serving him. After she met Solomon and seen his kingdom and his servants she said, “The one half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: for thou exceedest the fame that I heard. Happy are thy men, and happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and hear thy wisdom”(2 Chron. 9:6-7). Two quick thoughts in regard to this. One, we as servants of King Jesus should be bragging so much on Him that people become so curious that they want to find out if what they hear is true. Two, if you do not know King Jesus, then please do not take my word for how wonderful He is. Come to Him at once and I’m sure you will find out for yourself. He is great and there in no greater joy than knowing and serving Him. How glorious it is to be a part of His kingdom and to be His servant!
