Song of Solomon says in chapter two verse 15, “Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.” As I thought upon this I was reminded of how that it’s the “little” sins that can cause so much damage. Often we are on guard and looking out for those “big” sins and would not dare allow them to enter into the gates of our house. However, those “little foxes” sneak in every so slyly and rob from us the joy and blessings of the Lord. Let us be on guard against those things that we “think” are little sins because they can do a lot of damage. Be on your guard contstantly because they are sneaky! Just like a fox they slip up on you before you ever know what’s happened. A couple of years ago I was deer hunting and a fox came and sat on a log right under me. Had I not been looking and seen him coming I would have never known that he was underneath me. Let’s keep our eyes open for those little foxes lest they sneak upon us unawares and rob our tender fellowship with Christ.
